Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight for its size
From maker's figures 3/10How much it adds to your pack for the water it holds. 3: Below average. Fine for some trips, not others.
Vargo lists 427 g for 0.95 L on its US page (no UK page): 449 g per litre, in the 300-499 g/L band.
Packed size (empty)
From maker's figures 3/10How much room it takes up when it is empty, for the water it holds. 3: Below average. Fine for some trips, not others.
A rigid bottle does not shrink, so we draw it as a cylinder from its height and width. Vargo gives 229 mm tall and 91 mm across: 3.1416 x 4.55 x 4.55 x 22.9 = 1,489 cm³, so 1.49 L empty for 0.95 L held (1.57 per litre), in the 1.3-1.79 band.
