Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight
From maker's figures 6/10How much it adds to your pack. This is the whole tent: two people sharing can split it. 6: A bit better than average.
The shop's page splits the weight: inner tent and flysheet 1,315 g plus poles 360 g, so 1,675 g without pegs, stuff sack, vent poles and repair kit. That is in the 1.5–1.99 kg band. The packed weight of 1,957 g (with 15 pegs, 2 vent poles, stuff sack and repair kit) is in the same band. Shared by two it is about 0.84 kg each at the minimum.
Rain protection
From maker's figures 8/10How well it keeps out heavy, long rain. 8: Clearly better than most.
Flysheet 3,000 mm is in the 3,000 mm+ band, and the 5,000 mm floor is over 2,000 mm, so no point comes off. The printed figure alone gives 8 at most: a 9 or 10 needs 3 reviews that say it stays dry in real storms.
Wind
Estimate from maker's specs: maker's season rating (fewer than 3 reviews about wind) 5/10How steady it stays in strong wind on open ground. 5: Does the job. Average for wild-camping gear.
No published review says how it copes with wind, so this is an estimate from the maker's season rating.
Space
Estimate from maker's specs: inner floor area per person 8/10Room to lie, sit up and keep kit inside. 8: Clearly better than most.
Estimate from maker's specs
Packed size
Estimate from maker's specs: tent weight (no packed size published) 5/10How much room it takes in your rucksack. 5: Does the job. Average for wild-camping gear.

In short
Good for
- Two people backpacking or bikepacking who want a freestanding double-wall tent under 2 kg
- Walkers who want two doors and two porches, so nobody climbs over the other
- Warm-weather trips where the inner can be pitched alone without the flysheet
Strengths
- Light for a two-person freestanding tent: 1,957 g packed with 15 pegs, vent poles, stuff sack and repair kit (1,675 g without them)
- Roomy for two on paper: inner up to 145 cm wide, 210 cm long and 105 cm high (shop figures)
- A 3,000 mm silicone and PU flysheet with a 5,000 mm floor, both well above our top rain bands
- Freestanding, and the inner can be pitched on its own for warm, dry nights
- Two doors and two vestibules, DAC NFL aluminium poles and reflective guylines
- An owner on outdoorseiten.net weighed one at 1,962 g on a kitchen scale, in line with Stoic's 1,957 g
Weaknesses
- No independent test found, so wind, pitching and durability are estimates, not reviewed scores; space is an estimate, not a reviewed score because no floor area is published
- No packed size published, so it is an estimate, not a reviewed score for packed size
- Small vestibules: an owner says each fits a 50 L pack and shoes, little more
- Thin 20D nylon: tear resistance is quoted at 9 kg, but there is no long-term wear data
- Stoic sells several versions with similar names (NjavveSt. 2P at about 2.4 kg, II and III): check the 'UL' name and Alpinetrek item number 520-1092 before buying
- An owner on outdoorseiten.net says the sack label of his tent reads 'Njavve 3 2Personen' (his weight of 1,962 g matches the UL figure), so the maker's version names are inconsistent
