Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight for its size
From maker's figures 6/10How much it adds to your pack for the amount it holds. 6: A bit better than average.
Sea to Summit's pages disagree: its UK page gives 337 g for the set, its US page 259 g (a tester and Ultralight Outdoor Gear, which lists pot 198 g, cup 52 g and spork 8 g, also give 258-259 g). We use the heavier UK figure. Capacity adds the 1 L pot and the 400 ml cup: Sea to Summit's pages call the set's cup the "Frontier Cup", the same name as its 400 ml Frontier Collapsible Cup (53 g), and the US set weight less the pot (259 g - 197.8 g = 61 g) fits that cup plus the 8 g spork. Its set pages themselves list only the pot's 1 L. 1.4 L in all: 337 g for 1.4 L = 241 g per litre, in the 220-299 g/L band. With the US weight (259 g) it would be 185 g per litre, a 4; counting the pot alone (1 L) it would be 337 g per litre, a 2.

In short
Good for
- Solo hikers who want a pot, cup and spork that pack to one flat disc (about 53 mm high)
- Boiling water and one-pot meals such as noodles and rice
- Eating from the pot, with the cup and spork nested inside it
Strengths
- Pot, cup and spork nest into a disc about 53 mm high (Sea to Summit's packed size)
- Aluminium base spreads heat evenly, with a lid that clips to the rim (LidKeep)
- Includes a 400 ml collapsible cup and a short spork
Weaknesses
- Sea to Summit's weight figures disagree (337 g or 259 g): check before relying on the lower one
- A tester found the removable handle stiff and fiddly, and the short spork too short for bagged meals
- The silicone sides need care near flames (a tester's warning)
- No non-stick surface
