In short
Good for
- One to three people who want a roomy 1 L pot that cooks as well as boils
- Three-season trips where a pot sleeve, folding handle and pouring spout make a hot pot easier to handle
- Walkers who want a one-piece system with the burner locked to the pot
Strengths
- 1 L pot with heat exchanger, pouring spout, insulated sleeve and folding handle (Primus)
- 1,700 W burner with a low profile (Primus)
- Lid doubles as a cup, and a strap and sleeve keep the kit together when packed
- Piezo igniter is built in
Weaknesses
- 445 g, in the 350-449 g weight band and nearly twice the Lite Ultra 0.8L
- No independent hands-on test found yet, so wind and ease of use are estimates, not reviewed scores
- Primus publishes no fuel-use figure
- Primus's manual says not to boil more than 0.8 litres in the 1.0 L pot, because it can boil over
- No pressure regulator, so power drops as the canister empties or gets cold; not for winter
- At 12.3 x 16.2 cm it is bigger than the Lite Ultra systems
