In short
Good for
- Ultralight backpacking and a back-up lamp that weighs almost nothing
- Camp tasks, short night walks and trail runs on wide, easy ground
Strengths
- 43 g with the battery, among the lightest head torches that can light a path
- 380 lumens (FL1) for 2 hours, and 100 lumens for 6 hours
- Wide, even beam; tilts up when worn round the neck
- USB-C rechargeable (880 mAh) with a battery indicator, lock mode, red light and strobe
- Reflective thread in the headband
- 3-year Petzl warranty (or 300 charge cycles)
Weaknesses
- IPX4 only: splash-proof, not for heavy rain or immersion
- Fixed wide beam with no spot: 70 m reach, so it falls short on open ridges and fast descents (CleverHiker, iRunFar)
- The battery can't be swapped for a spare, so a flat battery means no light until it has charged (about 3 hours)
- The red light is a dim 2 lumens (CleverHiker), and no charging cable is supplied
- The cord headband needs two hands to adjust (CleverHiker)
