Our ratings (out of 10)

1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score

Warmth

Estimate from maker's specs: fill type and bag weight (no temperature rating published) 1/10

How cold a night you can sleep comfortably through. 1: A real weak point.

Estimate from maker's specs

Room inside

Estimate from maker's specs: bag shape (fewer than 3 reviews about room) 3/10

How much room to move, bend your knees and sleep on your side. Roomier is comfier. 3: Below average. Fine for some trips, not others.

No review we found says how roomy it is, so this is an estimate from the bag shape.

Weight

From maker's figures 10/10

How much it adds to your pack. 10: The best you can buy for this.

OMM gives 450 g for the Regular, in the under 700 g band. One UK shop lists 414 g without the storage bag; OMM's figure is used.

Packed size

From maker's figures 10/10

How much room it takes in your rucksack. 10: The best you can buy for this.

OMM gives a pack size of 21 x 13 cm but no volume. Read as 21 cm long and 13 cm across, it works out at about 2.8 L (3.1416 x 6.5 x 6.5 x 21 = 2,787 cm³), in the under 4 L band. Several UK shops copy an older 22 x 15 cm (about 3.9 L), which is in the same band.

In short

Good for

  • Mountain marathons, fastpacking and other trips where every gram counts and you can add clothes inside the bag
  • Minimalist campers who want a synthetic bag at 450 g that packs to about 2.8 L
  • Summer and mild shoulder-season nights, with a good mat underneath

Strengths

  • 450 g and about 2.8 L packed in the Regular, very light for a synthetic bag
  • PrimaLoft Gold with Cross Core fill, mapped as 60 g/m² under the sleeper and 100 g/m² on top, so the weight goes where it insulates
  • Windproof PointZero fabric inside and out, with a DWR finish on the outer
  • Shaped footbox with extra 100 g/m² fill, and a half YKK zip offset to the right to cut weight and aid venting

Weaknesses

  • Little insulation under the sleeper by design, so the mat does the work of keeping out ground cold
  • Half zip only: shorter to get in and out of than a full-length zip
  • No independent test of this exact bag found, so the damp, comfort and durability scores are 'Not enough evidence'
  • OMM's pack size (21 x 13 cm) differs from the older 22 x 15 cm that many shops still copy
