In short
Good for
- Reactor stove owners who want a second 1 L pot, to cook while another is in use or to replace one
- Boiling water for drinks and freeze-dried meals for one or two people
Strengths
- 240 g for 1 L
- Heat exchanger fully encloses the Reactor stove's burner, which MSR says gives the system its wind resistance
- Clear strainer lid and a folding, locking handle
- Packs to 12 x 15.5 cm (MSR)
Weaknesses
- Works only with the MSR Reactor stove (MSR); a plain stove can't use it
- 240 g per litre is mid-range
- MSR's Feb 2024 recall covers the earlier part number (06900): Ultralight Outdoor Gear's barcode matches it, while Outdoor Action sells the redesigned part (14270) MSR's recall page offers a free replacement handle for the earlier part (in Europe, by email to [email protected])
- No independent review of the pot alone found
