Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Waterproof build
From maker's figures 6/10How well its build keeps water out, from the published seams, closure and submersion claim. 6: A bit better than average.
Fully taped seams and a roll-top closure (rolled 3 times, Kross buckle). There is no submersion claim: the 5,000 mm hydrostatic head is a fact, not a score. The 3 band.
Weight for its size
From maker's figures 10/10How much it adds to your pack for the space it protects. 10: The best you can buy for this.
60 g for 25 L is 2.4 g/L, under 4.0 g/L (Lifeventure's figure; GO Outdoors gives the same 60 g).

Reviewers disagree on this.
Ease of use*

3 reviews on ease of use, e.g. "These dry bags are unusual in having an elliptical shape with an oval rather than round base, which makes them easier to pack.".
In short
Good for
- A very light organiser or pack liner for a sleeping bag or clothes inside a rucksack
- Rain protection on UK hill trips when kept inside the pack, including Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions (Lifeventure says the Award recommends it)
- Not for river crossings or anything that may go under water
Strengths
- 60 g for 25 L (2.4 g/L)
- Fully taped seams and a roll-top with a Kross buckle
- Elliptical base packs neatly into the corners of a rucksack
- Hypalon finger loop on the base helps pull it out of a full pack
Weaknesses
- No submersion claim, so not for anything that may go under water
- 30D fabric: Chris Townsend doubted it would take much abrasion, so keep it inside the pack
- Only one independent review of this size, so durability and ease are estimates, not reviewed scores
