In short
Good for
- Tall walkers and trekking-pole tarps and tents: 135 cm at most
- Walkers who want a stiffer aluminium pole, with a larger shaft diameter than Helinox's Passport poles (Helinox)
- All-season trips: baskets can be swapped (Helinox sells snow baskets separately)
Strengths
- 470 g a pair (235 g per piece, Helinox)
- Shafts of DAC aluminium alloy, with a larger diameter than the Passport to reduce flex under heavy loads, and Helinox's 5-year warranty on manufacturing defects
- Lever lock with automatic locking buttons for fast set-up and stowing (Helinox)
- Replaceable baskets (Helinox sells snow and powder baskets separately)
Weaknesses
- No independent test of the LB135 found: lock, grip and durability scores are blank
- 61 cm collapsed, much longer than the 35 cm of the Passport
- Only 9 cm of length adjustment (126-135 cm), so it suits taller walkers
- Heavier than Helinox's Passport poles (180 g a piece for the TL120)
