Boil speed (still air)
From maker's figures 8/10How fast the maker says it boils 1 litre in still air. Wind slows every stove: see Wind performance. 8: Clearly better than most.
Decathlon says 3 min 25 s on its feature list (3 min 23 s in its detail text), so 205 s for 1 litre, in the 190-229 s band. The slower figure is used. Decathlon tested with a Trek 500 stainless steel pan and does not state the wind.

In short
Good for
- Cooking with a bigger pot, because the canister sits beside the stove and the stove stands on three legs
- Three-season trips for one or two people
Strengths
- Remote design: the canister sits on the ground on a 31 cm metal hose, so the stove is low and steadier than one on top of a canister (Decathlon)
- Decathlon quotes 3 min 25 s for 1 litre with 2,500 W output
- Built-in piezo igniter, a wind guard on the burner, and a carry bag; 10-year Decathlon warranty
Weaknesses
- 170 g plus a 15 g bag, about twice the weight of a stove that screws on top of the canister
- Decathlon gives only two folded measurements (11 x 11 cm), so the packed size cannot be scored
- No cold-weather rating from Decathlon, so not scored as winter-ready
- Decathlon recommends a windshield and no independent review has tested it in wind
- Decathlon lists 182 g of gas an hour, so a 230 g cartridge lasts about 1 h 15 min
