Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight
From maker's figures 7/10How much the pair adds to your hands and pack. 7: Better than most.
Decathlon gives 200 g per pole, doubled to 400 g for a pair (pair, sold singly at £4.99 a pole), in the 300-449 g band. Hike for Purpose weighed 408 g for the pair.
Packed size
From maker's figures 6/10Whether they fit inside or along a rucksack. 6: A bit better than average.
Maker gives 55 cm collapsed, at the bottom of the 55-64.9 cm band. Hike for Purpose measured 54 cm, which would be the next band up, so the maker's figure is used.

2 reviews on locks, e.g. "The push-pin adjustment system works smoothly".
In short
Good for
- A spare or loan pair for a group
Strengths
- Light for a pole: 200 g each, 400 g a pair, and 55 cm collapsed in 3 sections
- Simple push-pin length lock with nothing to tighten or loosen
- 6061-T6 aluminium tubes (20/18/16 mm) and a 2-year warranty
Weaknesses
- Only 4 set lengths, 105 to 120 cm: short for tall walkers and no fine adjustment (Hike for Purpose, at 1.88 m, sets 120 cm every time)
- Plain foam grip with a straight shape and a basic cord strap; Belgian Hikers advises replacing the strap
- Pin and hole can be fiddly to line up (Decathlon UK buyers)
- Steel tip that can't be replaced, and a summer basket built in
- Score for durability is missing because too few independent long-term reports exist
