In short
Good for
- Ultralight backpackers who still want some neck support
- Side sleepers who want a pillow under 60 g that stays under the head
- Use on a smooth air mat: eyelets let you cord it down
Strengths
- 50 g and 0.24 L: about the size of a tennis ball
- Cut-away shoulder edge and baffles keep the head from sliding
- Soft, quiet stretch-polyester cover with no crinkle (Kampeermeneer and Pack & Trail, on the earlier version)
- Eyelets for fixing it to a mat
- 5-year warranty from Exped
Weaknesses
- Thin cover with no padded top: firmer and less cosy than hybrid pillows (Treeline, Pack & Trail)
- Slippery on the underside (Treeline)
- 10 cm tall: Pack & Trail finds it almost too tall for back sleeping when fully inflated
- Valve takes practice to deflate
- Needs care to avoid punctures (Live for the Outdoors)
- Not enough evidence yet on long-term durability
