Our ratings (out of 10)

Warmth
From reviews 7/10How warm it keeps you standing still at camp. 7: Better than most.
Three reviewers rate it a warm layer for cold days: Switchback Travel found it comfortable at camp after a chilly hike in unseasonably cool, wet weather and puts its warmth near a Patagonia Down Sweater Hoody (3); CleverHiker was comfortable standing still down to about -7 °C in moderate wind, and stayed warm at low effort at about -5 °C in a 30-50 km/h winter wind over a synthetic mid-layer, but says to add a shell or more insulation for long hours in freezing temperatures (4); The Big Outside calls it one of the warmest down jackets at this weight he has worn, and wore it over a T-shirt and a midweight top on near-freezing, windy mornings (4). Average 3.7 out of 5, so 7 out of 10. All three describe the same spec as Arc'teryx's page now (850-fill down, Coreloft, Arato 15 shell, 338 g listed weight).
Weight

In short
Good for
- Cold, dry days: alpine and winter climbing as a mid-layer, and for rest stops
- Low-output wear at a cold camp, with a shell over it if it is wet
- Light carry on three-season and winter trips where weight and pack space matter
Strengths
- 338 g listed weight with 850-fill goose down: in the under 350 g band
- Warmth scores 7 (the average of three reviewers' scores)
- Coreloft synthetic panels in the shoulders, underarms, cuffs and collar, where down wets first
- Insulated, helmet-compatible StormHood that reviewers found fits well and is easy to adjust
- RDS-certified down, recycled shell, PFAS-free DWR; made in a Fair Trade Certified facility
- Includes a stuff sack that stays attached inside the chest pocket
Weaknesses
- Thin 15D shell and light zip: more prone to tears and snags than a 20D or heavier jacket (The Big Outside, CleverHiker)
- Down wets out if you sweat in it and is not breathable for fast uphill work (Switchback Travel, CleverHiker)
- Slim, athletic fit leaves little room for bulky layers under it (CleverHiker)
- Not waterproof: needs a shell in steady rain
- No packed size published, and Arc'teryx does not state the fill weight
